Voyage 4 of The Magic Coast Is Here: Art, Food, and the Stage at the Edge of the Sea

June 4th

Voyage 4 of The Magic Coast is now streaming on YouTube and airing on Channel 6 Rockport through 1623 Studios.

Aspen Ridge returns as your guide along the Magic Coast and she sat down with three guests who, between them, make a powerful case for why this coastline is unlike anywhere else.

Suzanne Wilson: Rockport Music / Shalin Liu Performance Center

We filmed at the Shalin Liu Performance Center, which sits right on the sea in Rockport, and if you've ever been inside that room and looked out at the ocean through that wall of glass, you understand immediately what kind of place it is. Suzanne runs one of the most respected performance venues in New England, and she talks about the Shalin Liu the way people talk about places that have changed their lives. Because it has. And it continues to.

Cindy Hendrickson: Cape Ann Foodie Tours

Cindy has built something that is genuinely one of a kind on the North Shore: a guided food tour experience rooted in the history and flavors that make Cape Ann so magical. This conversation is warm, funny, and full of genuine love for this place. If you have never taken one of Cindy's tours, this episode will make you want to fix that immediately.

Dr. Viola Voilà: Performing at the Crane Estate

We filmed at the Crane Estate in Ipswich, which is one of the most breathtaking properties in Massachusetts, and Dr. Viola Voilà met that location fully. A drag performer with depth, wit, and a command of presence that is impossible to look away from. This was one of the most exciting shoots we've done and I think viewers are going to feel that the moment the segment begins.

Three guests. Three locations. One coastline. Voyage 4 is streaming now!

Bring Atlantis Home: My Sacred Work With The TideKeepers Foundation

Some things find you before you fully understand why. When sculptor Elisa Vanelli asked me to document her journey, to follow Atlantis from dream to bronze to shoreline, I said yes before she finished the sentence. And when she asked me to join the Foundation, I knew I was exactly where I belonged.

Elisa is a visionary in the truest sense. She sees what others cannot yet see, and she operates from a place of genuine spiritual devotion that is impossible to manufacture and impossible to ignore. She woke up one morning with a dream: a mermaid resting in stillness, covered by the high tide, revealed by the low and she knew with complete certainty it was real. That kind of knowing is rare and her vision is rearer still. So is someone willing to donate their time and extraordinary skill entirely to bring it to life.

Atlantis The TideKeeper will be cast in bronze and installed at Masconomo Park in Manchester Harbor, a living sculpture that rises and falls with the rhythm of the sea. No other work like her exists anywhere in the world.

For me this is personal. The sea is sacred. This coast deserves a landmark that honors Mother Ocean. And Elisa trusted me with this story… which means everything.

Bear Cove Productions is the documentary partner of the TideKeepers Foundation. We are following Atlantis from dream to reality. If this work moves you, please consider supporting it.
